Methodology / Approach

We had the following 6 judges evaluate the games submitted and determined the winners:

Ashley Alicea, Unity Technologies- Sr. Developer Advocate (Games)

  • Developer Advocate for Games at Unity, Ashley Alicea spends her days creating technical demos to empower Unity creators with the skills they need to make amazing games. You’ll often find her at developer events digging deep into new Unity features & getting excited about the community’s latest creations. Her past roles at Global Game Jam, IndieCade, and Games For Change have made her a passionate advocate of democratizing game development – a mission she proudly continues at Unity.

Gene Chorba, Riot Games- Developer Relations

  • Gene is a lifelong gamer, and works at Riot Games leading Developer Relations. Through his work at Riot and beyond Gene has helped motivated game developers and entrepreneurs follow their dreams. With a focus on making great products, delighting players and investing into the games ecosystem, Gene works to empower the next generation of developers.

Steven Isaacs, Epic Games- Education Program Manager

  • Steve Isaacs is the Education Program Manager at Epic Games. His mission in this role is to support educators and students in exploring career opportunities that leverage interactive 3d skills. Prior to his role at Epic, Steve was a public school teacher for 28 years, teaching game design and development as well as other courses related to creative uses of technology. Steve enjoys spending time with family and friends. His hobbies include video games, biking, snorkeling, hiking and live music.

Peter King, Greenman Gaming- SVP Business Development

  • Peter King has spent the last 30 years In the Games Industry. Very fortunate to have held several senior roles with Major gaming companies, which include, Activision, Mattel, Broderbund, 1C, Novalogic and Green Man Gaming. Products I have launched include, Myst, Call of Duty, Tony Hawks and Delta Force. For the last 2 years I have been leading the BD role in Green Man Gaming, Looking for new titles for our publishing arm and working with our AAA partners on various projects.
