Overview / Usage
Internet of Things (IoT) conceptualizes the idea of remotely connecting and monitoring real world objects (devices) through the Internet. “Automation System” focuses on building home automation system ,manageable by the user on his phone from anywhere using Internet. This system can be used for controlling light, fan remotely through internet and displaying room temperature and air quality digitally. The speed of fan can be controlled both manually and intelligently on the basis of room temperature detected using temperature sensors. The intensity of light can be controlled on the basis of environmental light in room.
Many a times, in hurry we forget to on/off the lights, or also we don’t use light/fans according to sufficiency, so in order to save power, we are designing smart automation system which will control light and fans according to the room temperature and humidity, also the user can on/off from anywhere using a android application.
Methodology / Approach
In this system, the sensors will estimate the current room environment and will adjust light and fans accordingly, and also the user can manually intervene the system if he wants to. The user will be notified of the room temperature and the humidity of the room.
The Temperature and humidity of the room will be sent to the system and hence switching the circuitry on/off accordingly and then it will be displayed.
Technologies Used
Raspbian OS, which is Linux-based and is for Raspberry Pi.
