Join Out of the Box Network Developers at the next Intel® Developer Zone SDN/NFV Network Developer Lab on September 19th & 20th. The importance of SDN/NFV has increased in the wake of impeding 5G that demands massive scalability, agility, latency and performance from the network. This means the VNFs and SDN solutions should be designed to be truly platform agnostic while meeting the latency and performance requirements traditionally met by ASICs, Network Processors and custom ASICs. In this lab we will talk about the control plan and NFV development and Orchestration framework, and how they play a critical role in an agile network. There is no cost to attend the lab, but one must apply for consideration (application can be found at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1kDJaO5FYPNr240TiCMiG4DgtIvcRBWpGI3PIeHisjDw/edit). For updates and additional information, go to the Out of the Box Nextwork Developer Meet Up page- https://www.meetup.com/Out-Of-The-Box-Network-Developers/events/241846161/.
Speakers from Intel, Ericsson, Huawei, 6Wind and others will be sharing their expertise on these and other networking topics:
- Openstack OpenDaylight (Hands-on lab) - Kuryr+Opendaylight that provides you the ability to provide networking for VM and containers that enables microservices (Hands-on lab, demo)
- SDN/ NFV based Evolved Packet Core (EPC) (Demo) - Open Stack EPA (Enhanced Platform Awareness with Network Services Benchmark example VNFs) (Hand-on lab - New model for cloud network function development – YANFF (Yet Another Network Function Framework (Hands-on lab)
