Overview / Usage

The Intel’s next generation Xeon Phi™ processor family x200 product (code-name Knights Landing) brings in several new technological solutions: socket form-factor (stand-alone CPU), as well as coprocessor version; a high bandwidth on package memory called Multi-Channel DRAM (MCDRAM) in addition to the traditional DDR4, which leads to three modes of MCDRAM operation - cache, flat, and hybrid; optional integrated high-speed fabric; and sub-NUMA clustering capabilities.

Colfax International is now offers a 1-hour webinar “Introduction to Next-Generation Intel® Xeon Phi™ Processor: Developer’s Guide to Knights Landing”, which will cover the following topics:

Introduction to Intel Architectures:
-Where does Intel® Xeon Phi™ processors fit in?
-Overview of features
Vectorization:
-Intel® Advanced Vector Extensions 512 (Intel® AVX-512)
-Dual VPU
Cores and Threading:
-Differences from 1st generation Intel® Xeon Phi™ coprocessors
-Utilizing the many cores
Memory Architecture
-MCDRAM usage models
-Cluster modes
