oneVPL stands for oneAPI Video Processing Library, it is the software toolkit to use the video codec and video frame processing accelerator on Intel hardware platform. oneVPL inherited most of Intel Media SDK APIs and extends with new capabilities and features. oneVPL is subcomponent of oneAPI Base Toolkit, an open standard API, so it can also be extended to non-Intel hardware accelerators.
Methodology / Approach
The main features of oneVPL is video encoding, video decoding and frame processing. The project will use these features to create the application to show the details of the Intel technologies.
