Overview / Usage
Holographic technology is a photographic technology that records all the information (amplitude, phase) of the light waves reflected (or transmitted) by the object, and the light reflected or transmitted by the object can be completely reconstructed by recording film, and its position and size are exactly the same as before. By observing the photos from different directions and angles, you can see the different angles of the object being photographed, so the recorded images can make people have stereo vision.
Digital holography is the analog process of holographic recording and reproduction using a computer, inheriting the characteristics of optical holography:
- Ability to record all the visible three-dimensional information of the object
- Different objects can be observed from different angles
- Tear resistance, fragments can reproduce the complete image
The hologram contains not only the amplitude information of the reflected light wave of the two-dimensional image object, but also the phase information, which makes the hologram contain rich three-bit object information, so the resolution of the hologram is very high, and the storage space required is large. The computational simulation of the figure requires higher computing power, and the calculation process includes phase information, and complex calculations are introduced. Real-time holographic simulation technology requires high parallel computing capabilities, breaking the traditional single-threaded calculation.
The 3D digital holographic simulation framework is a platform for simulating the recording, compression, transmission, and reproduction of digital holographic pictures, approaching the effect of real-time display.
