Overview

Intel® Graphics Performance Analyzers (Intel® GPA) is a toolset that provides a solution for graphics analysis and optimization that can help you improve performance of Microsoft DirectX* or Vulkan* games and other graphics-intensive applications. These tools offer a common and integrated user interface for collecting performance data, so you can quickly see performance opportunities in your application, save time and effort, and get your product to market faster.

**Customer Use Case - **An example of how GPA has helped developers reach a wider audience:

Game Devs often implement and optimize for particular platforms. In some cases, when we try games out on other platforms they stutter (alternating between 120 FPS and 12 FPS). This can be dissatisfying. With Intel GPA we discover graphics bottlenecks that didn't show on other platforms. Once the game dev knows about these, they improve their rendering for these cases, eliminating the stuttering, which, of course, makes their game more satisfying for a larger audience.

Using Intel GPA, you can analyze your games on various platforms to find the best optimizations for each platform. and to enable/disable certain features (such as detailed terrain features or additional interactive game elements) until you achieve the optimal game-playing experience.

Intel GPA Components:

• **System Analyzer and System Analyzer HUD (Heads-Up Display) - **for runtime analysis
• **Graphics Monitor - **for setting options, selecting metrics, and capturing frames and traces
• **Graphics Frame Analyzer - **for deep analysis of draw calls, shaders, textures, etc.
• **Graphics Trace Analyzer - **for visualizing CPU core activity vs. GPU activity, as well as sync events and dependencies in execution calls
• **Intel GPA Framework - **for automating testing and allowing command line captures
