Overview / Usage

Instead of using traditional ID documents, Neonpass allows people to get into places avoiding waiting, agglomeration, and COVID-19 risk contamination. Companies, hospitals, schools can invite their users to check-in using the APP anytime, anywhere, and in less than 2 minutes the users receive their pass for accessing buildings, hospitals, and other avenues using Neonpass face recognition kiosks which are 25x faster and 84% less expensive than a 100% human front-desk.

Methodology / Approach

Neonpass was designed by HOOBOX and one of the largest medical Centers in South America to bring security and well-being to everyone. For hospitals, Neonpass provides safe access for both patients and doctors at OR (operating rooms), ICUs, and front desk.

Technologies Used

The product has three main parts:

  • the kiosk, which is the hardware part, installed at the hospital entrances performing facial recognition releasing patient accesses,
  • the mobile app, which the patients use to register and receive the hospital invitations,
  • and a web platform, through which the hospital sends the invitation to the patients

The kiosks use Intel NUC and Intel Realsense to run Neonpass software and perform the liveness detection. Proprietary and internationally awarded face recognition technology optimized by Intel OpenVINO Toolkit ensures security in 1:1, 1:N identification and life detection.
