Overview / Usage

Hi im Harvey, a university student from the UK, I am new to case modding although i have some experience with watercooling. For this project i decided that the future of computing has these aspects: Compact systems, High performance, Aesthetically pleasing. I then proceeded to combine these in a way in which i think is optimal to achieve all 3.

This PC is designed around the idea of a small form factor case with plenty of ventilation being levitated above the desk by approximately 10-15cm using a self levitating string tension system (Tensegrity Structure). The idea of this is to look good and improve airflow to the PC to keep it cool while gaming or working. This PC will both be practical and look good in the modern and future household.

Methodology / Approach

I will approach this build by obtaining an off the shelf SFF case ( Likely the NZXT H1 black), modifying it if needed to add in air intakes on the bottom.

For the tensegrity structure i will manufacture it out of 2 pieces of aluminium and some steel cable. The idea is to have them painted to match the colour of the SFF case to be aesthetically pleasing to the user. The tensegrity structure will be made our of 2 parts. The solid base and the top, the top will be empty in the middle as to not cover up the bottom of the case and will make contact with the case at the edges of the cases base. Having the top be a square outline instead of solid allows maximum air flow up into the case for better cooling.

Technologies Used

If i am selected to recieve the parts to complete this build i shall use the provided parts to complete this build.

I will also attempt to make as much of the PC wireless as possible to allow it to truely stand out as modern art without cables ruining the look. This will be achieved via wireless pheripherals & wireless display adapter.
