Overview / Usage

A forest fire is an uncontrolled fire in a wild habitat. Fires can be accidental or they can be caused by arson or even lightning strikes. The aim of this project is to help people to prevent fires or at least reach the area on fire in time.

The system is applied on the trees and, it is equipped with a lithium battery, a low consumption Arduino 101 connected in wifi and various sensors for relief: humidity, IR temperature, gas and smoke.

Methodology / Approach

Large WSN (Wireless Sensors Network) to detect the fire in several point to trace it.
The relief data are sent to a gateway (Intel NUC), processed and sent to a web app in the cloud.
