Fallout is my favorite PC game of all time. A Fallout Tribute to 25th Anniversary Gaming PC Mod has been on my bucket list of PC Mods for many years. I'm using the Corsair 400R midtower case I designed for them in 2009. It features a real Nixie clock from Ukraine and 7" LCD screen. ...learn more

Overview / Usage

This Fallout Tribute to 25th Anniversary Gaming PC Mod was gift for a friend. I'm using the Corsair 400R midtower case I designed for Corsair in 2009. It features a real Nixie clock from Ukraine and 7" LCD screen. It utilizes a vintage 5.25 bay fan controller. Not alot of my typical machined custom parts except for the front "VAULT-TEC" case badge is cnc machined aluminum. The top radiator cooling fans have laser cut radiator grill with MNPCTECH logo etched. Otherwise I did all of the case mods by hand on this build. You could say I went "Old School" on this case mod. It's refreshing to do a case mod thats getting attention in this sea of RGB aquarium cases. What was most important to me is that the "fallout" inspired paint finish grabs your attention. I wanted it to be vibrant, like it's a screen shot of animation. It's been a blast seeing the response to this PC mod by people, especially fans of the fallout game. I share every stage of the process of creating this PC Mod in next section.

Methodology / Approach

I share every stage of the fallout pc build and case mod guides in my video series

  1. Cut case panels for additional cooling fan vents and window.

  2. Break down PC case for paint.

  3. Paint case with base color and reassemble.

  4. Add weathered and distressed hand and power tool assisted paint effects.

  5. Install system.
