Overview / Usage

Currently in majority of the cities in Nigeria, traffic law offenders are being monitored by human being (policemen) and the reporting is also done by writing on the book.

This method has many flaws as the policemen could not carry out there duty smartly and the offenders are capitalizing on this weakness to commit more crimes and avoid been penalized by avoiding the previous spot of offense.

Methodology / Approach

  • This Application will utilize Google Cloud to store reported offenses
  • Mobile devices (Especially Android) will be used to report the crimes
  • The first phase of this project will be an application running on any mobile device (via Web browser) and it will be capable of
    • Taking Picture
    • Saving the Vehicle details and other information to the Google Cloud
    • The backend users will be able to view all the offenders and update their status as they being penalized

Technologies Used

  • At the end of this project, a specific mobile AI device with the ability to
    • connect to Google Cloud
    • Identify crimes using deep learning
  • In the second phase, the solution will utilize the Machine Learning SDKs available on the android and iOS.
  • Currently, the solution will be delivered with the minimum viable product features as stated in the methodology
