Overview / Usage

CEX+ (Customer Experience Plus), aims to disrupt the Retail industry, using object recognition and prediction using Deep Learning (Convolutional neural networks & Tensorflow). We intend to understand and predict a store’s membership card holder’s choice of apparel and give recommendations and/or offers based on their shopping history.

Methodology / Approach

Camera using facial recognition to detect customers inside the shop & cross checks from the store’s database to verify their membership status.
Members who have opted in for this service, are given discounts on products they’ve recently looked at like a pair of blue Levi’s jeans
This is done by tracking the member’s movements and identifying what clothing article & brand they’re interested in via Object recognition. So discounts can be given on the fly.
A heat map can also be generated that can be referred later on for manual intervention to judge how many people visited various parts of the section throughout the day.
