Overview / Usage

The system's goal is:

  • To create a system that can monitor and manage several home equipment, including heaters, air conditioners, and lighting.
  • To offer a centralized platform for home automation so that users may manage their appliances via a web interface or a mobile app.
  • By dynamically altering the power usage of home appliances based on user preferences and real-time data, to optimize energy consumption and eliminate waste.
  • By connecting the system with security cameras and alarms, to increase the home's security.

Methodology / Approach

The proposed project will be a combination of hardware and software components. The hardware components will include various sensors, switches, and home appliances that will be connected to the IoT gateway. The software components will include a mobile app and a web interface that will allow users to control and manage the smart home system.

The system will be designed to work with various home appliances such as lights, air conditioners, heaters, and security cameras. The sensors will be used to monitor the status of the appliances and the environment, such as temperature, humidity, and light levels. The switches will be used to control the power usage of the appliances, and the gateways will be used to connect the system to the internet.

The mobile app and web interface will be developed using the latest technologies such as React Native and Angular. The mobile app will allow users to control and manage the system through their mobile devices, while the web interface will provide a centralized platform for managing the system from any device with an internet connection.

The system will be tested and validated through various simulations and real-world testing scenarios. The performance of the system will be evaluated based on its efficiency, reliability, and user-friendliness.
