Overview / Usage

The system will use a combination of Peltier module, hand made radiators, Spectroscopy sensor, ECU units and Temp/Humidity sensor to determine the real time status of nutrient solution and environment.

A camera attached to an ESP32 module is used to send real time imaged of the plant to an Intel Haydes Canyon NUC that will then be used to detect whether the plant got infected by a disease or not. Other sensor data, including Spectroscopy data is used to run an AI to determine the environmental conditions the plant is currently in and control it to keep it at an optimum level.

Methodology / Approach

We've started by building a hydroponics base unit with a bottom compartment for nutrient solution and root growth and a top layer for plan growth. We are also working on a separate peltier based temperature control unit to keep the temperature between 10 deg and 30 deg C.

Once this is done, we'll move one to connecting all sensors, gathering data for training the AI to detect good and bad condition for plant growth and then adjust the conditions accordingly.

Final stage will include the addition of a Camera unit that will be used to detect the growth of the plant and to check for any potential diseases.
