Skin color detection and segmentation is an important step in several applications, including face recognition, human–computer interaction (HCI), hand tracking, and motion detection. Several skin color detection methods and skin color models such as the Gaussian model have been proposed. Under unchanging lighting conditions, these skin detection procedures produce satisfying results. Otherwise, the skin detection procedures will not be successful. Thus, the complex structure of the skin detection models will be handled with Deep Neural Networks. A large database of pictures containing skin samples is under construction.
