Overview / Usage
Home Security has always been a concern for everyone specially for women and youths staying away from home at distant places.
The cost of automatic systems are very high which makes it difficult for people to install such systems.
The cheaper systems raises a notification or alarm only within a short area. These systems are prone to get hacked. We aim to built a home security system at low cost and with minimum chances of failure. The applications built will be highly secured with minimal chances of getting hacked.
Methodology / Approach
It would effectively keep track of your door state whether it is locked or not.
In case of any intruder breaking your door lock system and entering your premises, you will be notified instantly.
Node mcu is connected to wifi.
This module is operated with the help of android app named blynk.
An on/off button is pressed to lock and unlock the door.
The servo motor gets the desired signal based on the button being pressed.
The state of the door is been shown on the LCD display of the blynk app.
The software consists of an led which turns red when the state is closed and turns off when the state is open.
Raspberry pi 3 is connected to a wifi or alternatively to an ethernet cable.
PIR sensor which is connected to raspberry pi detects motion.
Cayenne is used to trigger an SMS to a registered mobile number.
PIR sensor detects presence of an intruder when you are not at home.
You receive a SMS in your mobile phone
