Overview / Usage

The goal of this project is to do an SFF build for PAX West's BYOC theme. Since my core demographic tends to be on the bougie side, I opted for no holds barred, top of the line parts with the goal of zero thermal throttling.

Methodology / Approach

I started with a personal favorite SFF case the Phanteks Evolv ShiftXT. I try to build less custom and more "obtainable for the masses" so I tend to shy away from complete case tear downs. With the ShiftXT being able to accommodate a 240mm radiator I decided the best solution would be to punch two holes and do a pass through to an external radiator set up. For BYOC or LAN parties, I'd be able to create a small loop and still have the rig fully functional.

The goal was in the full set up, I'd aim for maximum overclocks but also wanted to do every little bit to maximize potential. Use the improved IHS bracket, used Go Chiller's carbon nano tube coolant and integrated an external radiator set up with dual DDC pumps in sync for redundancy.
