DeveloperArt December Results

It was a "challenge" to judge this challenge because everyone deserves praise for the great work they shared, but I'm excited to announce the results. First let me say the effort and work put into this from our community was truly astonishing and inspiring. I hope all involved had as much fun as we did, experiencing your creativity, ingenuity and self-expression during this challenge. To see all of the posts from the challenge check out our #DeveloperArt December wall. Now, to the results.

Most Engaging: Alfred Ongere
Alfred was light and selective on his posting, but that wasn't a factor. His activity received hundreds of likes and retweets setting him far ahead of the pack with 700 engagements from a single post. This post leveraged augmented reality and combined a message of environmental conservation inspired by Nobel Award prize laureate, Wangari Maathai. This demonstrates a post that connects and resonates with a community can really have impact. Great job Alfred.

Intel Choice Award: Cristiano Siqueira
Like Alfred, Cristiano was not the most active posters in this challenge. However his work did reach some of the most influential audiences catching the attention of Internet tech enthusiasts and tech media. Cristiano did this by posting concept art of a potential Intel dGPU shroud. His creation was retweeted by media outlets, and generated news articles showcasing his work, including this article from Forbes. Great work Cristiano, and thank you for stimulating the media to discuss the possibilities of discrete graphics from Intel.

Honorable Mention From Our Leaderboard
One of the reasons we took time to evaluate the results, was the volume of posts between both Instagram and Twitter. We had to be sure the hundreds of posts were properly counted between platforms. We were truly amazed with the energy put into this. With that we have honorable mentions.

Relentless Posters: Shuddahaddalottafun, UBE, Adam Ardisamita
Wow, that is all I can say, wow. The volume of content between Instagram and Twitter from these 3 accounts was awe inspiring. These 3 posters deserve a special shout out above all others. I don’t know how you did it. Not only was the volume of what you posted amazing, the posts were high quality and provided a sharp insight into your work as artist and developers. Thank you.

Stunning Work: Renderbaron, Altermind, Redwall, Stormborn
We might have thought Disney, ILM or or Blizzard had a hand in the work when we saw these posts. The quality of work, stunned us. The images left us drooling and wanting more. Each one of you were very much in the running for the Intel choice award. We did not want to look away. Thank you for sharing such amazing work with us and our community. We have one simple request. More please! I'm guessing our new IntelGraphics channel would love to see more of this work.

Mad Skillz: Abhishek Nandy, Justin Link, Salvino Fidacaro, Matteo Valoriani
This group was possibly the most balanced and consistent posters from the challenge. The quality, ingenuity and volume of posts were impressive. Thank you for showing us amazing art that is balanced with coding skill while delighting the eye.

Much Respect: Martin W, Marco Dal Pino, Justin Lassen, Michele Tameni, Audri Phillips, Antimo Musone, Underminer, Amartya R Saikia, Aung Thu Hein, Eskil Steenberg
I know I am forgetting some who posted with some regularity... sorry if I missed anyone. I call out this group for embracing the spirit of this challenge, taking the time to post and helping excite the community around #DeveloperArt

Thanks All: This was a lot of fun If you have thoughts or ideas on what we could or should do next, do not hesitate to reach out to me @bobduffy

Note - Software Development Platforms: We targeted a Surface Studio and Surface Pro as platforms to seed the top two challengers. As both Alfred and Cristiano are in geographies that make it challenging to ship these target platforms we will work directly with them under the Intel Software Innovator program to determine how or what Intel technologies best to seed or support their work further.
