Virtual Activities with the ACM Sac State Students Progressive Hackathon and Sac State Carlson Center Toolkit Series started in early April right during the midst of the tragic Covid-19 situation and we quickly moved into Zoom based sessions.
The Sac State Students Progressive Hackathon attracted students from beyond Sacramento and we slowly started having students joining in from UC Irvine, University of San Francisco and now also expected to join from UC San Diego and beyond… Expecting international participation from India as well and communication via Skype Chat really helps.
It was fun to introduce students to Intel OpenVINO and have them understand more about Convolution Neural Networks and Machine Learning, some of the Intel Reference Implementations particularly, the new Intel IOT Software Hub for Edge Computing and soon get down to demo development.
